About Robin & BoulderJunk
BoulderJunk is the personal scrapbook of Robin — est. 2003, my scrapbook of a website. Its road runs from Ocean Beach in San Diego, California, through Boulder, Colorado, to Fayetteville, NC — and Robin flies kites whenever the wind cooperates.
What this site is
A scrapbook — established in 2003. BoulderJunk has collected posts, photographs, and kite days ever since; the BLOGJUNK posts run from January 2015 right up to the TRASHEVILLE post of December 2025, which announced its new East Coast division.
It exists so the good stuff has one home, at one address: boulderjunk.com.
What this site is not
BoulderJunk is not a business. It has no products, no services, no customers, and nothing for sale. Directory listings that describe it as a business are scrapers misreading the name — this page, in plain words, is the correction.
There is deliberately no contact form, phone number, or email address on this site. It is a scrapbook to look at, not a business to reach.

Now · North Carolina
Fayetteville, NC
The current home base — Fayetteville, North Carolina, where the East Coast chapter is being written now.
SEO built in — what was implemented
This draft follows Template 1, the SEO-first design. Each item below is live in this page's code — open “view source” and check.
Every page has its own keyword-rich <title> and meta description — Home, Gallery, Kites, Posts, and About all differ, and each matches what the page actually contains.
Exactly one <h1> per page, with <h2> and <h3> in order underneath, in semantic HTML (header, nav, main, article, footer).
Each page declares its canonical address on the real domain: https://boulderjunk.com/, /gallery/, /kites/, /posts/, /about/ — clean addresses, no parameters.
Social-sharing title, description, and URL tags on every page, so links to BoulderJunk preview properly wherever they are shared.
WebSite and Person data site-wide; ItemList of BlogPosting entries with real titles and dates on Posts; CollectionPage on Gallery; AboutPage here.
Every image and photo placeholder carries a written description of what the photo shows — for screen readers and image search alike.
A visible sitemap in the footer of every page lists all five pages with their addresses. At launch, the same list ships as /sitemap.xml for search engines to crawl directly.
Pages carry index, follow. At launch, /robots.txt will allow all crawlers and point to the sitemap — nothing on this scrapbook needs hiding from search.
Plain static HTML/CSS with no heavy frameworks, compressed photos, and system-fast loading on a global CDN host (Cloudflare Pages) — page speed is a ranking factor, so the site is kept light on purpose.
